Introduction

Real Estate Industry is currently riding high. The housing market and the commercial real estate activities are all time high. Industry experts predict that the market is likely to grow even more in next 2 years. This spurge of growth is seen as result of higher disposable income of middle class families, healthy economy, upbeat Indian markets, Stock markets, macro-economic scenario, Government incentives on housing developments, Low lending rates for home buyers, low fixed deposit interest rates, and many other factors.

Focus

The key target of the Seminar was to evaluate the current real estate scenario in Gujarat, particularly in city of Ahmedabad. India is expreincing a major expansion in all major urban centers of the country since early 2003.

The markets in Ahmedabad have recovered in year 2003, especially the residential market with booming market activities since year 2004. The commercial and retail segments have also expreienced a great thrust in year 2004. Land transactions and property sales were all time high in year 2004. However, the trend since early 2005 has seen some downshift, especially in the housing market. RESMA research team investigates into this trend of "current Housing market, 2005' through this seminar and presents key insights for 'Residential Real estate Scenario in 2006, and 2007'. Key data, analysis, trends, market cycle and market behaviour were presented in the Seminar, which included eminent distiguished, guest and RESMA speakers. The event was graced by more than 250 participants from GIHED, GICEA, Contractor's Association, FREDAG, Professionals and students associated with the field of Real Estate.
